Key takeaways
  • Everlywell sells finger-prick and other home kits, a lab-draw ordering service called Everywhere, and an annual panel called Everlywell 360.
  • We did not find a folate kit in its at-home catalog in October 2026, but its lab-draw service listed folate at $56 and B12 at $40, each plus a $15 clinician review fee.
  • Everlywell says all its labs are CLIA-certified, a clinician reviews each requisition and eligible results, and it never sells customer data.
  • Its lab-draw service is not available in NY, NJ, RI, AZ, OK, MA, or PA, according to its folate test page.
  • Compared with LetsGetChecked and myLAB Box, Everlywell was the only one of the three where we found a folate test, and only through a lab draw.

Everlywell is a U.S. at-home testing company that sells mail-in sample kits, a lab-draw ordering service called Everywhere, and an annual biomarker panel called Everlywell 360.123 It suits people who want a well-documented kit for a specific question such as thyroid or cholesterol, or who want to order a folate or B12 blood draw online.42 If you specifically want a folate test you can do at home with a finger prick, Everlywell's kit catalog did not list one when we checked in October 2026.1

What is Everlywell and how does it work?

Everlywell has three product lines.

At-home kits

You register a kit, collect a sample at home, and mail it to a lab. The thyroid kit, for example, uses a finger-prick sample, lists physician-reviewed results "in a few days," and costs $149.4 Everlywell says results for most tests are typically available within 5 to 7 business days of the lab processing the sample, and its dashboard shows current estimates.6 Its catalog showed 31 products when we checked, including tests for thyroid, HbA1c, cholesterol, vitamin D and inflammation, and sexually transmitted infections.1

Everywhere (online order, lab draw)

Everywhere is Everlywell's ordering service for standard lab tests. You choose a test, a clinician reviews the request, and you visit one of 2,000+ lab locations for a standard blood draw, with results in 1 to 3 days.2 Each request carries a $15 clinician review fee, or you can pay for a Lab Pass membership at $15 a month or $150 a year instead.2 The folate page says all testing is performed at CLIA-certified laboratories.2

Everlywell 360

Everlywell 360 is an annual panel listed at $399 billed annually, covering 83 biomarkers from a blood draw at a Quest location, with clinician-reviewed results.3 The biomarker list includes vitamin B12, homocysteine, ferritin, and a complete blood count, but not folate.3 For other membership-style panels, see our overviews of Function Health and Superpower.

What's included: folate and B12 options at Everlywell

Product Folate? B12? Collection Listed price (October 2026)
Home kit catalog Not listed 1 Not listed as a test 1 Home sample Not applicable
Everywhere Folate Yes 2 No Lab draw $56 plus $15 review fee 2
Everywhere Vitamin B12 No Yes 5 Lab draw $40 plus $15 review fee 5
Everlywell 360 Not listed 3 Yes 3 Lab draw at Quest $399 per year 3

Ordering folate and B12 separately through Everywhere adds up to $96 in test prices plus two $15 review fees, unless you have Lab Pass.25 Serum folate reflects recent intake and is generally the first-line folate test, and B12 should be checked alongside it.789 See our folate blood test guide and our page on at-home folate and B12 tests.

Is Everlywell legit? Company, labs, and privacy

  • History: Everlywell says founder and CEO Julia Cheek started the company in 2014, appeared on Shark Tank in November 2017, and in March 2021 acquired PWNHealth and Home Access Health Corporation, forming parent company Everly Health.10 PWNHealth is the physician network Quest names in its consumer-testing fee disclosure.11
  • Labs: Everlywell says every lab it uses holds a current CLIA certificate and state licenses, undergoes routine inspections and proficiency testing, and some are also CAP-accredited.6
  • Clinicians: A clinician reviews your lab requisition and, if eligible, your results.6
  • Privacy: Everlywell says it never sells customer data and cites HITRUST and SOC 2 certifications.6

CLIA is the federal program that sets quality standards for U.S. labs testing human specimens.12

What results look like

Everlywell says it provides a "doctor-friendly" version of results that you can print or email to your physician, and it encourages customers to discuss results with their own doctor.6 For diagnostic tests such as its STI tests, it says follow-up consultations and prescriptions are available when medically appropriate.6 It describes its home collection methods (dried blood spot, saliva, and urine) as clinically validated against traditional methods.6

Questions to ask your clinician

  • Is a home kit accurate enough for my question, or should I have a standard blood draw?
  • Should I test folate, B12, or both, and do I need a complete blood count too?918
  • How should I time my supplements before the test?7
  • If I could become pregnant, should I keep taking 400 mcg of folic acid daily regardless of my result? (CDC recommends this for everyone who could become pregnant.)19
