myLAB Box is an at-home testing company that mails you a sample kit (swab, urine, or finger-prick blood depending on the test), processes it at partner labs, and posts results online, usually 2 to 5 days after the lab receives the sample.1 It is best known for STD testing and also sells wellness kits such as vitamin D, HbA1c, cholesterol, and thyroid.23 If you are looking for a folate or vitamin B12 test, its wellness catalog did not list either when we checked in October 2026.3
We have not used myLAB Box. This review is based on the company's published pages, checked on October 2, 2026.
Quick answer: who myLAB Box suits
| Likely a fit | Probably skip it |
|---|---|
| You want discreet home testing, especially for STDs 1 | You need folate or B12 measured 3 |

How myLAB Box works
The company describes four steps:1
- Order. Kits ship in discreet packaging.
- Test. The kit includes collection supplies, instructions, and a prepaid return envelope. The company says collection takes about five minutes.
- Get results. Results are usually ready 2 to 5 days after the lab receives the sample, are stored in a HIPAA data storage system, and can be downloaded as a PDF to share with your doctor.
- Free consultation. If you test positive, myLAB Box offers a free phone consultation with a physician in your state, who can send a prescription to your pharmacy if appropriate.
The company says it offers 50+ tests and was the first to offer completely remote testing-to-treatment in all 50 states; that is the company's own claim.1

The vitamin D test
The vitamin D kit uses a finger-prick sample and measures 25(OH)D, the form most vitamin D blood tests measure.45 The kit includes one collection kit and a postage-paid return envelope, needs no special preparation, and accepts FSA or HSA cards.4 It was marked temporarily unavailable in New York State.4 myLAB Box's product page recommends taking an abnormal result to your health care provider.4
Other wellness and family planning kits
Beyond the core wellness tests above, the catalog also listed a Food Sensitivity Test at $150, a Testosterone Test at $79, a Perimenopause Test at $129, a Postmenopause Test at $129, a Metabolism Test at $99, and a Heavy Metals test at $199.3 The home page listed an At Home Women's Health + Fertility Test at $259.1 We did not review the science behind each of these tests; ask your clinician whether a given test answers your question before buying it.
When myLAB Box suggests testing
The company's FAQ says the right timing and frequency depend on your lifestyle, that you should test if you have symptoms or after a possible exposure, and that if you are unsure how often to test, it is best to speak to your doctor.1 For STD screening it points readers to CDC guidelines.1 For routine blood work schedules, MedlinePlus describes general screening intervals, such as diabetes screening from age 35 for people who are overweight or have obesity, repeated every 3 years.67
Folate and B12 coverage
myLAB Box's wellness catalog listed about 30 products when we checked, and none mentioned folate, folic acid, or vitamin B12.3 If folate is your reason for testing, you will need a different route. Serum folate is generally the first-line folate test and is usually read alongside vitamin B12 and a complete blood count.8910 Options that listed folate in October 2026 include Ulta Lab Tests, Quest, Labcorp OnDemand, and Everlywell's lab-draw service.11121314 Our folate blood test guide explains how to read results.
